My Experience as a Life Coach

Here’s the thing:   you don’t need to have a pristine life to be a coach . Coaching is about inquiry, asking the right questions, listening, empathy, and empowering someone to become their best self. I know many talented coaches whose life doesn’t look that great on social media — some of these coaches aren’t even on social media at all! They make a living because their clients recommend their services. They are talented coaches because they know how to coach, not because their life is perfect or they know how to run an auto drip campaign on MailChimp. I don’t do much 1-on-1 coaching, because personally, given my background and the counseling in ministerial training, I think I can provide more value writing, speaking, and doing workshops, but when someone approaches me about hiring me as their career coach, I ask them why they want to work with me. In this life, you live a life of love while you're alive or you will leave a legacy of love. Either way, it's all about l💙ve. -Edna J White So many times in our lives we get consumed with one thought or one objective that brings us and those around us no happiness. All because we were not validated in our childhood and we act out emotionally in response to others. We need to stop and realize that our lives have gone cold and that we offer nothing to those around us.  Do you have a love interest?  Do you enjoy days with your siblings?  Do you have healthy friendships?  Does your phone ring just from a friend reaching out to say hi? All these questions and more should be asked of yourself and take a few minutes to look into.
